Salvia Farinacea or Mealy Blue Sage is a herbaceous perennial on the Lamiaceaes family which is normall grown as an annual.

With good care the plant can live long enough. Also survive to light frosts.

Soils must be rich and with a good drain system.

We can start feeding our Sage plant when spring starts, adding compost, humus or specific fertilizer for flowers plants.

Remove withered flowers and dead leaves, and prun once the flowering this way we will encourage new bloomings.

Must be careful with irrigation since an excess of water might produce fungal diseases.

Another cultivars have white or pink flowers as well.
