Mint is a variety of mint widely used in gastronomy and cosmetics, in addition to acting as an insect repellent.
Mentha spicata or "english lamb mint" is a rithomatous perennial plant which belongs to the lamiaceae family
Can get a height of 30-90cms
Time of planting:
In colder climates: from March to June and/or from August to September
In warmer climates: from February to June and/or from August to November.
The ground must be clayey and should be well drained, although it thrives well in almost any type of soil.
At the time of seed we must keep a separation between plants 30cm., and between rows of 50 cm.
Irrigation should be abundant in summer and we will use a substrate with topsoil or compost.
It is a plant very invasive, so we should transplant every year.
