Mandarin orange tree or Citrus x reticulata is a fruit tree of perennial leaves on the rutaceaes family.
The tree has a globular form, its dense and bright foliage is compoused of medium size green leaves, doing a beautiful contrast with the colour of its fruits and providing the garden of an important ornament value.
Mandarine or "tangerine" thrives properly when having an average temperature of between 23ºC and 35°C. Water without flooding and add organic matter every year during the period of development, mainly spring.
Pruneonce the fruits are over and before the next bloom starts. Remove those unnecessary branches, the weaks or broken ones, or those which do not allow a good air circulation among them, or that are tingled to others avoiding a proper development, as well as those ones which have an inapropiate direction.
Be careful with the possible attacks of fungi, it can appear when overwatering. Do not water in excess, wait until the ground is dry and preferably giving good irrigations getting down to the deepest roots.
Keep an eye to keep away insects, especially aphids and leafminers.
