Spathiphyllum is a genus of plants that comprises about 52 classified varieties and which belong to the Araceae family.

It is a quite resistant and long flowering plant that will be renewed annually.

To prosper properly, we must place the Spathiphylum in a shady place, even intense in summer, provide a temperature of not less than 18 º C and plant it in loose soil rich in nutrients, and not expose it to sudden changes in temperature or currents of air.

We must fertilize with fertilizer for indoor plants during spring and summer, without passing, so they do not burn their leaves.

We will cut the flower from its base when it withers, and we will try to keep its leaves clean.

Spathiphyllum likes humidity both in the soil - without waterlogging - and in the environment, so we can spray the leaves with water, taking care not to wet their flowers. A lack of water will cause them to languish.

In winter we will reduce the risks.

You can suffer from plagues like red spider in warm and dry environments, or their leaves can blacken by an excess of water.
