Prímula Auscalis "Danova" or Primrose is a plant which belongs to the primulaceae family.
It is a biannual plant usually provided with serrated, wrinkled, and lighter leaves on the lower face, and with an uniform rosette shape.
Its flowers, composed of five petals, are yellow, white, yellow, orange, pink, red, blue or bicolor.
Primrose needs a lot of light, and not strong direct sun , however it resists the cold temperatures.
Needs a rich and light soil, besides always having some degree of humidity.
Mainly it is cultivated as an indoors plant because it is very ornamental in a flowerpot, however it offers very good results in small flowers bed or borders and planters, mainly if we do not expose it too openly to the wind.
We must use potassium-rich fertilizers to stimulate flowering and to remove wilted flowers and leaves.
