Platycerium or Elk Horn is an indoor plant that belongs to the family of the polipodiaceas.
It is a variety of hanging fern.
Elk Horn has two types of blades, horizontal and the wide which are which hang vertically that can reach a meter in length.
This houseplant needs high humidity, in growing season, to water it should not be of wet sheets because they damage.
An option for irrigation would be putting it in water a half an hour and then drain.
Its leaves have a whitish layer, that does not remove that is a protective coating.
During the spring and summer should be paid weekly.
It is usually planted in baskets of coconut, or in pots transparent with  moss and peat.
May be attacked by spider mites or bugs, but with a insecticide suitable disappear.
