This fruit tree, apart from being decorative, can also be a plant that yields juicy and delicious fruit.

To plant it, prepare a large hole by digging the soil and adding plenty of compost or other organic matter.

It likes sunny spaces or partial shade, it also tolerates frost.

It does not need fertiliser or compost, unless it is widely spaced or newly planted.

Can be planted alongside chives, nasturtium, lavender and garlic.

If planted singly, allow 1.00 m in each direction (minimum).

If planted in rows:  (1.00m) with (1.00m) spacing between rows (minimum).

It is best to plant in mid-autumn or early winter, when it is not too cold for the roots to grow and establish. It should be planted with at least one other apple tree flowering at a similar time to aid pollination.

Prune the dwarf apple tree towards the end of the season to remove dead or overloaded branches and to shape it if necessary.
