Santolina chamaecyparissus is an herbaceous plant that belongs to the asteraceae family.
This plant has medicinal properties and is widely used in infusion.
The planting season in cold climates is from March to June and, in September and October. In the warm zones the sowing goes from February to June and, from September to November.
The sowing will be done with a separation between plant of 30 cm. approximately, and between rows of 50 cm.
The soil must be well drained. It also admits stony soils but also supports poor soils.
It is used for both gardens and pots.
This plant does not need much water so it supports moderate droughts.
