Leptosperm needs little maintenance. The watering will be moderated in order to avoid flooding. In general it is very resistant to plants. So that it grows in optimal conditions we will keep it in the sun or in a light semishade.
Like most shrubs from Oceania (southern Australia, Tanzania and New Zealand) it is not resistant to frost, and in winter it will need us to protect its roots with padding.
