Sinocrassula yunnanensis is a small, rosette-shaped perennial plant up to 10 cm high, which can eventually form dense clumps.

The leaves are semi-rounded, flattened at the top, ending in a sharp point and have a finely papillose hair.

The rosettes are up to 3.5 cm in diameter.

The plant is monocarpic. The individual rosette flowers only once and then dies, replaced by neighbouring rosettes.

At flowering, the rosette elongates into a richly branched inflorescence up to 4 inches (10 cm) long. The flowers are small and white.
