Cineraria maritima is an herbaceous plant typical of Mediterranean areas. It belongs to the Asteraceae family.
The main attraction of this plant is its leaves, of a silver gray color. In spring, this feature highlights the bright yellow colour of its flowers.
It develops better when it receives many hours of daylight, although we can also have it in semi-shade. It prefers soils with a small percentage of sand, but in general it adapts well to any terrain.
It withstands drought well, so you will only need to water it when the substrate has fully dry. After the flowering season, a cleaning pruning will be appreciated.
