Pelargonium grandiflorum. C13/14. MIX

Pelargonium grandiflorum is a perennialplant which belongs to thefamily  Geraniaceae family.

This small evergreen shrub of rounded shape, is very leafy and is covered with large and beautiful flowers in different colours during spring. 

To keep its foliage and eye-catching look, we must go by removing from stem wilted flowers, this way we will encourage new flowers.

Grow Pelargonium grandiflorum in a sunny position, the more quantity of sun the more quantity of flowers.

Although this type of geranium can grow in poor soils, use a universal soil for planting it,  or add a new layer of organic rich soil every year by the end of the winter,  and be sure you supply the area with drainage material,  feed it with special flowering fertilizer during spring. 

Trim it back after that the  flowering is over to provide the bush  with a nice shape for the rest of the season. For rejuvenating the plant do it at the end of the winter when the risk of low temperatures is gone. Trim it lower leaving 3/4 buttons.

Pelargoniums do not usually suffer from major garden pests, nor from serious disease, unless we water too much and continually.
